Default Another Blowout

I-4 near Lakeland, FL Sunday afternoon a man was killed where he had a blowout on his RV.

I had a Safe T Plus installed on my SOB last week at the factory in Austell, GA. . They said that they installed six at this year's WOG in Pine Mountain.

I had the Safe-T-Plus on my prior 85 FC. Always thought it drove well - prior owner had been a perfectionist so the alignment was well dialled in too. Drove the SP back from Canada and then to PM with a firm grip on the wheel. Down to 2-3 fingers now. Nearly put it into a ditch on one of the little roads crossing central GA. I was sold while I was still eating a donut. They got it in and adjusted in about an hour and a half, great company, great guys, great product - oh, and, great price at PM!

You should have been at Pine Mountain in '17; they were installing one every couple of hours. It was interesting to hear all the different engines fire up and mosey through the campground for the test/adjust drive.

I scheduled an install for my bus; the guy slid under and came right back out saying, "You've already got one". All the oil had leaked out; they replaced it and knocked off $ for the warranty even though I wasn't the one who owned the bus when it was installed. Good people; bus drives better with the new one.

They are great people,for sure.
Last summer i was on the road and suspected my safe-t-plus on my steering tag axle was bad.
( This was an experimental thing that i did,and Safe-t-plus was in on the experiment.)

I called them and gave them the info, they sent a new one out that day and i sent the old one back,it really was bad, with a broken spring inside.
The engineer was highly surprised, and even though this was a "test" they sent the new one free of charge.

So my bus has a Safe-T Plus installed by a PO, not the most recent PO. How would I know if it has gone bad as I only have experience driving this bus?

Thanks!

Get going 45 mph or so on straight level road. If the bus tracks straight when you loosen your grip (take hands off the wheel), it's working.
