I also have two driver's shades, electrically operated; I like having separate adjustments, too.

The full width shades replace the venetian blind, and although some use them when driving, mine will only be for use when parked. The switches will be in the panel over the door because there are two spare slots there and I just can't stand not filling them!!!!! Ha, ha.

I like the MCD lesser cross-section, but I read they use a remote pad to operate and to adjust travel, and I want none of that. Just simple switches. will call them on Monday to discuss the options.

The AutoMotionShades are slightly bigger, but do not need the guides MCD says they need. Decision still pending awaiting further info. Rick liking his makes the third owner I know who likes the MCD's. This might be getting like the tire debate.

Heres what i kinda did.

I had these cute little tube motors i got from BB,i got to looking at them and decided they were shade motors, they looked like the little tubs cigars come in,with 2 skinny wires coming out.

So,i had some shades, and i take the end out of the shade and the motors slip right in,tightly.
So the shades were too long so i took them apart and cut the tube, then cut the fabric and then put them all back together.
I made 4 powered shades and you can do the same.

The motors are on ebay, then go to home depot and buy the shades and put the motor in.
The motor has a limit switch built in,so you set the travel up and down, and add a switch.

easy as pie,and cheap as can be.

Randy had a good laugh when he heard what I paid then he showed me his. I would have been happy with his and could have bought 2 tires with the saved $.

Ron my shades do not require a guide at all. I have the dual day/night powered shade. there is a travel limit on the opaque shade. With the key on you can not lower that shade into you line of vision.

Sounds like a plan Ron! Thanks so much - most appreciated.

I did make a center guide,on the center post in the windshield i screwed a flat piece of aluim. about 3'' wide and as tall as it needed to be,24? maybe.
I covered that aluim with ultra leather that matched the rest of the coach.
This panel hangs over the center post about 1'' on each side and guides the shade up and down just fine.
You never notice the wide post,Prevosts have a really wide post in their coachs.

Ron,the motors i used did not have the remote control thing,i just used 2 switchs and mounted them in the dash,so i can control them while driving.
The link i posted was the first motor i found this morning, keep looking on ebay, theres more on there.

You need a rocker switch, double position with 6 terminals,so you can switch polarity
