Lightbulb Additional Information

Since I can't edit old posts here and remove broken links, please be advised that none of the web links in this chain work any more.

Here is a summary of the major features of this coach:

The epitome of luxury coaches, this Bluebird Wanderlodge is superbly appointed. Close to $900,000 U.S. when she was built, she is the pinnacle of Bluebird coaches and has everything you can imagine and then some, including
- a 500Hp 60 Series Detroit with 3-Stage Jake compression brake
- 6 speed Allison transmission with retarder (programmable for engagement gear, currently set to 4th)
- 15kw quiet diesel generator - Perkins four cylinder. We replaced the generator part a few years back
- 10 point air suspension
- Diesel and electric hot water heat
- In-motion satellite
- 2 TVs, VCR, DVD
- luxurious Master Suite
- two convertible couches
- 4 place dining room plus extra chairs and table leaf for 6
- luxurious cherry wood througout
- gorgeous double shade window coverings
- corian counters and shower
- ceramic tile
- convection microwave
- gas range
- huge three-way fridge
- 3 roof airs
- mirrored ceilings
- window awnings
- 10,000 lb towing hitch
- on board engine oil top up
- heated basement
- huge holding tanks
- pass through Joey bed in first bay (extends fully on either side)
- Instahot water at kitchen sink
- built in barbecue
- CB
- Navigation System
- amazing Bose sound system plumbed into stereo, DVD, VCR and TV for movies, etc.
- etc. etc.

We have owned her for over 10 years and she has always been kept in our heated shop when she's not touring. No I don't know the date codes on the tires. Same tires as when we bought her, for those who care, assume they are past date codes. We've replaced all of the batteries once give or take 5 years ago, so for those who care, you can assume that they too are past date. I change stuff when it needs it, not because some marketing type in a tire company thinks they need to sell more tires. She's inside out of the sun all the time.

Our kids are grown and we're just downsizing stuff in general. We've enjoyed her immensely on several cross-continent trips and some extended stays with work related projects, but we're getting back to camping in the local area versus long trips, so want something smaller, and I could use some cash out of this one. Would consider classic FC, SP or PT on trade plus cash (emphasis on cash). Would also entertain clean VW Westfalia or a later Model Goldwing Trike as partial trade as that would be better with my leisurelite tent trailer than my HD Ultra.

This is an easy coach to full-time in as she is huge and comfortable. People who know about super coaches will appreciate that she has NO slides to leak dust and cold, take up space on the road, fail at the worst time, and creak as she makes miles. And make miles she will - we have easily made 18 hour days in her when necessary.
The air ride seats and super smooth air suspension make her a joy to drive.

Spec sheet say she holds 300 U.S. Gallons of diesel, and has propane aboard for the range and 3 way fridge. She has two large 3KW trace inverters, auto/manual hydraulic leveling jacks, etc.

This is a true bus with a million mile chassis and the sidewalls are all steel under the gorgeous full-body paint. Please don't try and compare her to some plastic Monaco or Newmar - this is a true bus. With 155,328 miles on her odometer, she's barely broken in, and yet used enough to keep everything in good running order.

Series 60 Diesel hours: 3,441.3
Generator Hours: 3,625 (Electrical Section replaced <200 hours ago)

There isn't a better coach made, and she is 25 tons of rolling land yacht, and yet the big Detroit Diesel flattens any hill with tons of torque and a 6 speed Allison and still gives 8-9 MPIG - more than many pickup trucks with a travel trailer.

She drives like a car and the steerable tag axle lets her maneuver and yet stay straight as an arrow in the worst winds. Ladies, don’t be scared, Mom has likely driven her more miles than Dad, and she has been a mainstay at lots of horse shows, but we've recently transitioned to a living quarters horse trailer for those as it reduces the number of vehicles we're driving to events.

Asking price is $85,000 USD

I agree. We bought our coach thru Randy and absolutely no regrets! When we need to sell we will be there again!
