Default Speed Sensor Tailshaft

I ran some tests on my King cruise control that didn't work. Test results pointed to no speed sensor signal. I traced the wires to the speed sensor on the tail shaft. I found another loop in addition to the speed control with much heavier gauge wires. I cut one of the other leads to break the circuit to the other loop. All of a sudden the cruise control works fine. I thought the other loop was the speedo but no, it works fine too. The mystery loop has 2 white wires, one has a red tracer stripe. The transmission is an MT 643 which appears to be non electrical with no other leads going to it. The 1995 Babybird has no on board computer. The tranny appears to shift fine. Any ideas what those other wires going to the speed control are? Right now that circuit is still cut. Unfortunately I have no schematic for this 1 of a kind factory coach and the wires go into a large loom and move forward.

Thanks, Phil Swanson

Butch,

You are probably a relative of mine somewhere. My birth surname was also Charpentier a pretty rare name with the same spelling.

Can you provide me contact information for these people? I have no idea who they are.

Thanks, Phil Swanson

I screwed up. I put the answer to our common (?) ancestry on the Motosat blurb. Well at any rate here it goes again. My grandfather was Henri Charpentier the chief not the boxer. My e-mail is charpe3@yahoo.com if you want those phone numbers.
