I have not been to Mex beach.
Several reasons why.
First reason is i just don't want to see it.
The ride from Bainbridge to PSJ is bad enough.
Millions of trees down,houses down.
roofs off.

2nd reason is we get down there and get busy,we have a list of things to do,most of the time we have the tractor and trailer,so we try to get done and get home by dark.
Towing a heavy tractor and trailer in the dark in the woods that are loaded with deer is not something we like to do.
WE (like everyone else) are too busy to just ride and look.
Its depressing to see the damage.
I don't think i could take seeing Mex Beach, not yet.

The traffic going by our place towards mex beach was stop and go,all day yesterday.
Trucks,dump trucks,pickup trucks,construction trucks etc.

WE have not had enough time to really get down there and stay for a few days,or weeks.
The cleanup here continues,Rick and i just put the facial boards back on the bus barn last week.
The warehouse still needs some trim work done and the front porch lights still need to be rewired and conduit put backup.
Little stuff, but it adds up into days worth.

We hire very little done,so we are slowly getting to the small stuff.

anyway,PSJ and Bainbridge are slowly climbing out and up,its amazing how much damage has not been touched, and the FEMA trash trucks are still rolling.
Its still a hellofamess down here.
The traffic on 98 going back and forth to Mexico Beach is non stop, the cleanup continues and the rebuilding begins.
Everybody has a story and everybody is positive.
Downtown PSJ is booming, the shops are open and the restaurants are doing well.
Mex Beach has nothing, and PSJ is the support center for Mex Beach,so it seems.

Houses are being torn down and hauled away, its sad to see them go,but go they must.
Carol and i cleaned up the new to us lots, mowing and picking up trash,we moved our shed back in place and the local guys we hired leveled it and tied it down.
I will say it was harder putting it back than the storm surge moving it.
We also fixed the fence, that the surge pushed over.
My fabulous oak is recovering, with new leaves slowly coming out, there was not a leaf left after the storm.
That tree had a big part of Carol and i buying those 2 lots.
We are so happy its coming back.

The big tree we have at the warehouse is slowly coming back too,its beatup and limbs missing on all sides, but it will survive.
We will survive,we are Americans.

Its going to be years before the south is back in shape...
More fencing

We have a nice strong young man that lives close by that will help with fencing this time Bill!
Hes a worker, not a doper and hes strong and needs work.
His home was destroyed and hes living in a garden shed,he lost everything he owned.
He showed up to work the other day and worked without conversation,we pointed and he ran with it,he did not need constant baby sitting.

Thanks for the update.
I know I am still looking a property all over that area and the overhead google map, just breaks my heart when I see all the devastation. I'm guessing bustedknuckes moved his bus up there to stay in while he's helping? Tony would love to go up and help too but we don't have a grappling truck.
