Mallie, I agree 100% that Silver Leaf is a superior product but at a considerably higher price. While both products are engine monitors they are really apples and oranges.

For me the simplicity of the ScanGauge got my attention. The question for me is "When is enough enough?" and "Will it do enough?" (for who?)

I looked at your setup and I just kept saying to myself. I'll buy this, use it for a month, and then decide it's in the way, or too much trouble or some such, as I have done with many electronics, and other devices, in the past.

The ScanGuage is just there, Configure it once and never touch it again. (you don't even have to push a button to turn it on!)
That's why I like it. Will it do what Silver Leaf does? Absolutely not! Will it do enough? For me, I think so but time will tell.

Ive used both Scanguage and VMSPC, both have advantages as has been reported. I really like the display of the vmspc, but then there is getting windows to work all the time, reliably....

Scanguage just works all the time, instant on, no problems.

Scanguage is hard to read with small text and in sunlight. Vmspc has larger text and displays a lot more info.

I set up a cheap win tablet to use with vmspc and mounted it over the speedo and tach. Easy to read there and with the tab displaying speed and rpm I dont loose any information by covering up the dials on the dash.

One problem is the tab only has one usb port so I had to use an OTG adapter to connect the vmspc and charge at the same time. The OTG broke on the trip so I was back to the ScanguageD... Nice to have a backup!

Heres a photo of the 'glass dash'...

One other thing, it would be nice to see what other silverleaf vmspc users have for their layout! We could post them...??

Do both of them show the Turbo boost on a 8V92? my gauge is not working dose the Scan gauge show this it may cost less to buy this then have the gauge fixed.

How much is a Android version of Silver i have a small tablet i could use if that works like Joes photo. Who has the best price on it?

On the 8V92 engines the boost gauge has a plastic tube that comes all the way from the engine to the gauge, its simple.
i would take the tube off the gauge and drive the coach, you will be able to feel air coming out of the tube if the other end is connected to the engine.

Silver leaf requires Windows, does not mater what version of window. Will not work with Android or Apple.

I read they had a blue tooth version that works with any Android device it says .

you can now add our TM-540 Bluetooth Module and connect your Android phone or tablet. You now have a wireless connection to your coach that you can use on the sofa, from the driver seat, or even take outside. You can both monitor and control - so you can start your generator or turn off your water pump from anywhere within range.

Deleted. I misread the information. Hadn't had enough coffee yet this morning apparently
